Missing

Missing is a deliciously warped journey into the depths of the human psyche.

Meet Lily, a woman whose soul appears to be decaying. She is very successful in life and love but something is missing…

Missing invites the audience to experience a series of extraordinary images, jaw-dropping choreography and a tantalising multilingual vocal landscape. The shadows of Lily’s past invite her, along with each audience member, to consider how far they have strayed from who they are and where they come from.

Missing is a truly universal theatrical experience. Since 2012 it has toured to Russia, China, Georgia, Malta, Colombia, Mexico, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, South Korea, Spain, Greece and across the UK.

“You could see this show several times and gain something new from it each time... Gecko’s Missing is a fascinating, vivid piece of physical storytelling that will have a personal meaning for everyone who sees it.” ★★★★★

A Phoenix from the fire at Battersea Arts Centre

On Friday 13 March 2015, during a three week run at Battersea Arts Centre, Missing was completely destroyed in a fire which devastated the Grand Hall. With help from generous support from our audiences and industry up and down the country, we managed to completely rebuild the production in just eight days so we could go ahead with our tour of Mexico.

We won the National Stage Management Awards’ ‘Stage Management Team of the Year’ in 2015 for their response to the fire.

The show returned to the Battersea Arts Centre in September 2018 to finish the run, as part of the Phoenix Season in the reborn Grand Hall.
